Magnificent Peru

Did you know that Peru has over 1,800 species of birds, 500 species of mammals and over 300 species of reptiles? I firmly believe that Peru is the most magnificent place in the world. In this book I will teach you even more amazing facts that you probably did not know about Peru!

First, the food and drinks in Peru are amazing. To begin, there are wonderful dishes in Peru including Lomo Saltado (Stir fried beef) or Ceviche which is a citrusy seafood dish.

Secondly, in Peru they serve extraordinary food that is served nowhere else like Alpaca which are related to llamas. They also eat Cuy, a favorite food in Peru which are fried or grilled guinea pigs!

Lastly, in Peru they have some amazing drinks like Inca Cola. It is a lemon flavored soda for kids. They also have Pisco Sour which is a type of alcoholic drink. It is the national drink of Peru.

Secondly, there are a lot of tourist attractions in Peru. First, Machu Picchu is a small city that Incas built on a mountain ridge 2430 miles above sea level that was built in the 15th century.

Also, the Amazon River is another tourist attraction in Peru, about one in 10 known species on Earth live in The Amazon River. There are 1.6 billion acres of dense forests, around half of the planet’s remaining tropical forests. Finally, one more tourist attraction that is in Peru is Lake Titicaca. Lake Titicaca is 3,820 meters above sea level. It is known for being the highest navigable lake in the world!

Lastly, there are many animals in Peru that can be found anywhere else in the world. First, the official national animal of Peru is the vicuna. It is related to the llama. This animal is prized for the quality of its wool. The wool is not only great for warmth but also extremely soft to touch. Next, there are some animals in Peru that are endangered including the Amazon River Dolphin, the Amazonian manatee which is the smallest of three types of manatee that have not gone extinct, the Peruvian night monkey and the marine otter which only lives in saltwater.

Finally, the rarest animal of Peru is the Andean Condor. It can be found in the Peruvian Andes mountains. The Andean Condor is the largest bird in the world.

Overall, I firmly believe that Peru is the most extraordinary place in the world because the food and drinks are amazing, there are a lot of tourist attractions and there are many animals in Peru that can be found nowhere else in the world. Would you ever consider going to Peru?
