Dearest Friends and Travelers,
It is that time of the year again, the season of giving, when we would like to reach out to you on behalf of our friends from the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve communities.
20 months have passed since the pandemic started, and although life has probably resumed to somewhat “normal”, the people of the Upper Amazon are still pretty isolated and struggling with low resources.
Given most of them are not vaccinated yet, we are not bringing tourists in to keep them safe. Therefore, they are unable to sell their handcrafts as a main village and family income. And although we have been bringing donations in regularly, we would still like to reach out to you and ask you to make their lives brighter.
